As a UK-qualified Counsel with 26 years of practice at leading commercial chambers in the

UK and the U.A.E. Sarah has established herself as a formidable presence in international disputes and cross-border litigation.

Her career expanded across the Middle East, where her legal expertise, strategic clarity, and results-driven approach earned her a reputation as “the complete package.” Today, she leads a successful legal consultancy. Manages thriving property portfolio, and stands at the helm of Sarah M – her luxury fashion brand.

Her personal brand, Sarah Malik Lifestyle, extends her influence further through strategic advisory, mentoring, and thought leadership.

Sarah’s ventures are a seamless extension of her passions – fashion. Sports, wellness, luxury and empowerment. Authenticity is her compass; she enters no field without wholehearted conviction.

INDACY:  You’ve built three distinct yet interconnected ventures – SOL International, Sarah M, and Sarah Malik Lifestyle. What core philosophy ties these verticals together and defines your entrepreneurial

DNA?

SARAH: At the heart of all three ventures, SOL International, Sarah M, and Sarah Malik Lifestyle is a single, unwavering philosophy: purpose and intention. 

Everything I build is rooted in the belief that excellence is achieved when passion and integrity align and you follow what really sets your soul on fire. My entrepreneurial DNA is driven by the same principle: I create with purpose. I lead with raw authenticity, and empower with impact.

Each one of the business vertical serves a different but intermingled audience, and each vertical speaks the same language-confidence, clarity. and elevation. I don’t create businesses for the sake of business: I build business connects, and inspires. That is the thread that binds everything I do.

INDACY:  Growing up in a family immersed in entrepreneurship, law, and fashion clearly shaped your trajectory. Which early influence still guides your decision-making at the boardroom level today?

SARAH: The influence that still guides me in every boardroom today is something! learned very early at home: never separate ambition from values.

Growing up around entrepreneurs in fashion lawyers, taught me different things, but the lesson that stayed was simple, your name and your word are your strongest assets.

From family of business owners, I learned early on resilience and the ability to think beyond the immediate moment. From the lawyers in my family I learned discipline. clarity, and the power of standing firm in principle.

From both I learned that presentation matters but because excellence is a form of respect.

When I make decisions today, whether for SOL International, Sarah M. or Sarah Malik Lifestyle I lead with that early influence: do the right thing with conviction, execute it with excellence, and let integrity be the constant, no matter how ambitious the opportunity.

INDACY: Your legal career spans 26 years across high-stakes international disputes. How has operating in pressure driven legal environments sharpened the way you lead, negotiate, and build luxury-focused businesses?

SARAH: Operating for 26 years in high stakes international disputes has given me a specific edge:l am calm where others panic, strategic where others react, and decisive where others hesitate. The legal world, especially at the level of cross-border disputes and international arbitration, trains you to think several moves ahead, read people beyond their words, and negotiate with precision. That environment sharpened qualities that define how I lead and build luxury-focused businesses: strategic clarity, negotiation as an art, and excellence under pressure In complex cases, we filter what truly matters. I bring that same clarity to business, seeing opportunities early, anticipating challenges, and designing brands with longevity rather than trend driven impulsiveness.

Years of negotiating has taught me that influence is built on credibility, emotional intelligence, and timing. In the luxury world, whether dealing with global partners or high-net-worth clientele, those same skills are invaluable.

Luxury is about flawless execution. Law taught me that even in high pressure moments, standards simply do not drop. That mindset is embedded across all that I do.

Ultimately, my legal career didn’t just prepare me for business, it shaped the discipline and

strategic way I build brands and lead teams. Preparation is everything, and excellence is non-negotiable.

INDACY:  You describe authenticity as your compass. In an era saturated with personal branding, how do you maintain a voice, a vision, and a lifestyle platform that remains genuinely aligned with who you are?

SARAH: Authenticity and energy is my compass because that can’t be duplicated, packaged, or manufactured. The only sustainable strategy is to be exactly who you are consistently and

unapologetically. I don’t curate a persona; I live my truth. My work reflects my real life, my work ethic, my discipline, my highs, my lessons. Nothing is exaggerated or diluted. People can feel when something is real. I always operate from purpose, not for performance.

Whether I am in the legal sphere, building Sarah M. or shaping Sarah Malik Lifestyle, every decision comes from intention and standards which I do not compromise.

My messaging comes from me. You can’t delegate authenticity.

My “brand”works because it isn’t a traditional brand. it’s my life. The discipline, the elegance. the commitment, the ambition are not simply strategies, they are who I am. When you lead from a place of truth, authenticity becomes your greatest asset

INDACY: Sarah M embodies timeless elegance, while your consultancy and lifestyle brand emphasize strategy, clarity, and empowerment. How do you balance creative expression with commercial precision across such diverse fields?

SARAH: Balancing creativity with commercial precision is possible because I don’t see them as opposites they are two sides of the same discipline.

With Sarah M, creativity is through elegance, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Behind the design is the same strategy l apply in law and consultancy: understanding markets, anticipating trends, knowing the client, and building a brand with longevity.

In SOL International and Sarah Malik Lifestyle, the focus is strategy and clarity but equally creativity plays a role. Thought leadership, storytelling, and brand positioning all require imagination and instinct.

Creative expression sets the vision; commercial precision ensures the vision endures.

I allow myself to dream, but I execute with discipline. Creativity grounded in structure. That balance is my signature and what I apply in law fashion and lifestyle at the same level of excellence.

INDACY:  You actively champion generational inclusivity and empowerment. What impact do you hope your work leaves on the next wave of lawyers, creatives, and entrepreneurs who look to you as a blueprint?

SARAH: What I hope to leave behind is very simple: belief and permission.

Permission for the next generation of lawyers and entrepreneurs to build careers and lives that aren’t confined by traditional boxes.

I want them to see that you can come from any background, any age, any chapter of life and still rise with excellence, integrity, and intention. That you don’t have to choose between disciplines, you can master many. if you root in purpose.

Permission and belief to not fit into the existing system. If there is one impact I hope my work leaves, it’s this: that young women and men look at my journey and say, ‘Sarah Malik did it her way, and excelled, I know I can build my own way too:

A blueprint of possibility is what I hope to leave behind.

INDACY: Finally, what advice can you give to young people who are at the beginning of their business life and take successful businesswomen like you as role models? Do you communicate with them?

SARAH: My advice to young people at the beginning of their business life is this: focus on becoming, not impressing.

Success is not built on shortcuts, noise, or trends, it’s built on discipline, integrity, and the courage to keep going when you face hurdles. Master what you want to excel in.

You need to be consistent with your effort: opportunities come to people who show up every day, not just on the days they feel inspired.

You need to build your character before you build your company. Reputation, trust and values are your real competitive advantages. They will carry you much further than you can imagine.

I speak to young lawyers, and students. I teach at various universities and lead many initiatives. believe in generational inclusivity.
